BackRoads x HOKA 800m Night 2022

Thank you everyone who joined us for this year's BackRoads x HOKA 800m Night. Our goal was to make this year's event bigger and better, and we did just that! This year we added more prizes from HOKA, a track side announcer, a finish line tape, a finish line clock, post run food from The Green Window and a hydration table at the track thanks to Skratch Labs. We also collected a mound of used shoes at this year's event from those who attended to donate to The ReRun Shoe Project that will go to those in need.

The feature of the night was our Race Section including teams from BackRoads, Lululemon, Bandits Elite and Runners’ Edge, who came all the way from St. Catherines. Four Runners from each team competed cross country style (add up each team member's finishing place and the team with the lowest overall tally wins) for bragging rights and the new HOKA golden shoe trophy. We are happy to announce that BackRoads won this year's event with race team members Marcel and Colin leading the way. Jeremy Coughler from The Bandits had the fastest time of the evening in 2 minutes and 2 seconds winning the race section!

800m Night is one of a kind to us that holds a special place in our heart where runners can test themselves over the 800m distance and really earn their beer. The time that each person clocks for their 800m race is the price of their beer for that evening, making every second count! If you missed this year's event we are already thinking about how to make next year's event bigger and better again.
