BackRoads Summer 10k+ Running Program 2025
Boost Your Endurance, Speed, and Performance this Summer!
The 10k+ program is the perfect option for those looking to stay fit or train for a 5 km, 10 km or up to a half-marathon! The program will prepare you to run this distance for the first time, or help you improve your endurance and speed. It is recommended that you can run 5 km before starting this program.
Our 10k+ program has a structure that fosters a strong sense of community, encouraging support among runners who have a wide range of experience and abilities. At BackRoads, we’re proud to offer an inclusive running environment where every participant is celebrated.
Program Details:

Start Date: Tuesday, July 8th, 6:00pm at BackRoads
- End Date: Sunday October 26th

Focus: 10km to your first half-marathon
What’s Included:

16-Week Training Program:
2-week base period, 14-week race-specific training (10k to half-marathon) -
Possible race targets include: Jordan's Run The Runway 5km September 19th, TCS Toronto Half Marathon October 19th, Springbank Road Races September 28th, Howling Ghost Trail Races September 27th.
