BackRoads Run Club
From beginners to experienced runners looking to improve their personal bests. BackRoads has an open door policy where everyone is welcome at any point in the year. BackRoads Run Club members will receive training programs and organized coaching to optimize their success.
Fall Rookie Program
This is a great program for the beginner runner or someone returning from injury or a longer break. The gentle, progressive training implements intervals with running and walking that help you complete a 5 km run. This program starts Monday August 21st at 5:45pm at BackRoads.
- 10 week Training Program provided for each participant
- $65.00 plus tax
- Monday and Wednesday runs at 5:45 pm
- Instructors who provides excellent support
- Expert advice for running and gear, including shoes
- Positive interaction with other runners and friends
- Social events
- Culminating 5km fun race to finish the program
Summer Fit & Fab 10km Program
The BackRoads "Fit & Fab" program is perfect for those looking to stay fit, or train for a 10 km to half marathon. The program will prepare you to run this distance for the first time, or help you improve your personal best times. This group will run Tuesdays and Thursdays starting from the store at 6 pm. The Fall Fit & Fab program will start on Tuesday, August 1st, 2023, at 6:00 pm.
- 12 week Training Program provided to each participant (should be able to currently run 5km).
- $90.00 plus tax.
- Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:00 pm and Sunday Long Run at 9:00 am.
- Tuesdays will be Workouts (intervals, repeats, tempo, hills etc.).
- Thursdays will be Social Runs (5 km – 10 km).
Summer Half Marathon Program
This program is perfect for those who are looking to improve their half marathon speed. This program is designed for those who can already run at least 14km (or longer) distance for a “long” run. The Half Marathon program will start on Tuesday, July 11th, 2023, at 6:00 pm and will prepare you to race a Half Marathon in the Fall.
- 16 week Training Program provided for each participant.
- $110.00 plus tax.
- Tuesday Workouts: 6:00 pm – repeats/intervals, tempo, etc.
- Thursday Social Run or Tempo Work: 6:00pm — varied distances.
- Saturday Long Run at 7:00am OR Sunday Long Run at 9:00 am – varied distances.
Summer Marathon Program
The Full Marathon program is perfect for those looking to step up to the marathon distance or those who are experienced with the marathon and are looking to improve their speed over the distance. This program is designed for those who can currently run the half marathon distance (21km) for a “long” run at the time of registration. The Full Marathon program will start on Monday, July 3rd, 2023, at 6:00 pm and will prepare you to race a marathon in the Fall.
- 16 week Training Program provided for each participant.
- $125.00 plus tax.
- NEW group leader: Josh Lumani!
- Monday Workouts: 6:00 pm – repeats/intervals, tempo, etc.
- Wednesday Tempo Work: 6:00pm (marathon specific pace work).
- OR Wednesday Social Runs: 6:00 pm – varied distances.
- Saturday Long Runs: 7:00 am – varied distances (Early due to summer heat).
Free Social Runs Every Thursday at 6pm
Bring a friend & join us every Thursday at 6PM for a free social run, 5k-10K routes will be provided, all paces welcome. Post run we love to socialize in our Taproom, where we offer craft beer, kombucha, coffee and more! See you Thursday!
